The game

Built around the corner

Critical Drift is a drift racing game on a Japanese mountain pass. No open world. No grind. Learn the road, then learn it better.

01

Real drift handling

Weight transfer, tyre heat and throttle all matter. Flick it in, hold it on the pedal, catch it with the wheel. The car tells you what it is doing.

Thick tyre smoke rolling over the road behind the car

02

Volumetric tyre smoke

Smoke has volume. It pours off the rear tyres, rolls across the road, drifts with the wind and catches your headlights in the dark.

03

Day, sunset and night

One valley, three moods. Low sun and long shadows. Orange haze settling in the valleys at dusk. After dark, wet tarmac, sodium lamps and your headlights in the fog.

04

Replays with film cameras

Watch your run again from the roadside, the chase car or a drone above the trees. Lens, focus and camera shake are tuned to look like real footage.

Studio

One person. One game.

Tracedream Games is a one-person studio in Poland. The handling, the roads, the smoke and the cameras are all built by one developer in Godot.

The game is made in small steps and shown as it grows. Wishlist it, follow along, and write in if something feels wrong. Every email gets read.
